Corrupt Politicians

Blago get 14 years in prison and is already scheming to get out early by "admitting" he has a substance abuse problem and can only sleep after drinking alcohol
As is often done, Blago did many "good deeds" when it became apparent that he was going to be indicted for official corruption.  This did not save him, however, and he will be off to prison soon.
Illinois is one of the most corrupt states, if not the most corrupt states in America.
The number of alderman sent to jail for corruption makes one dizzy, often with father convicted and son following in daddy's footsteps and being convicted too. Depicted on a YouTube Video tittled "Selling out the Community Pt1-2-3, Cong Danny Davis, (former)State Sen Rickey Hendon, Education Chief Michael Scott and Arnie Duncan are having lunch and cursing out mark Clark and friends as they try to ask them a few questions. Throughout the video, they are rude, refuse to speak to either of the gentleman asking questions, direct the gentlemen to "kiss my ass" and Cong Davis calls the police to remove them from the restaurant. Cong Danny Davis reportedly sponsors the "Second Chance Bill" and others designed to give people with felony convictions a second chance to obtain employment and live life without the handicap of being a convicted felon. Cong Davis is often seen yelling for the police concerning these "poor people who need a second chance" if they ask a question he does not like or attempt to ask a question as he does Mark and the others on this Youtube video. Michael Scott and Rickey Hendon also on the video are not in this order, dead from suicide and resigned from office while being investigated for couruption.
More on Cong "these poor people need a second chance-get me the police) Davis. Davis runs for office continually, the last office he ran for was Mayor. Davis dropped out so that there would be one consensus candidate and that was Carol Moselye Braun. When candidates run for office and have fundraising parties all over town, then drop out, do they keep the money they raised?
The City Council is now embroiled in a conflict over ward remapping. Why? Because 175,000 black have left Chicago and are losing their status as the majority. Black Alderman want to take the wards from the white community, while the Hispanic communities are gaining wards. Its obvious, our politicians are doing nothing but collected salaries as public school children are killed in records numbers,in fact, in the past 2-3 years, there was a running total of public school kids killed, child sex traffickers/human traffickers run wild and brutally assault law abiding citizens while our politicians do nothing and curse out their "constituents" and/or call the police to them if they dare ask what they are doing to help stop the violence and corruption. As for the police, they are arresting each other, have also been getting killed in record numbers, cannot find a Superintendent without a lot of controversy and in some areas of the city, mostly African American are useless or worse as they sometimes in error target the victims as the criminal. the unending groups of people being released from prison or having their convictions overturned is a testament to that.
Still, corruption runs rampant. The last election, I voted for Jesus Christ or God in several races.  if I meet a politician in my daily activities, which I sometimes do, I decline to volunteer to do anything for these corrupt, useless individuals and now knowing they are mostly corrupt and useless, they can kiss my ass.

No spellcheck, just posted.

Fire Safety

We had fire drills at school when I was growing up and fire drills at work when I started work at my first real grown-up job. so it was only natural that we have fire drills at home.

Whever there was a fire in the neighborhood that resulted in a fatality, the fire department would canvass the neighborhood, passing out smoke detectors and fire safety tip booklets. It is now the law that all homes including apartments have smoke detectors installed to prevent unnecessary deaths due to fires.

Most fire deaths are from smoke inhalation so smoke detectors with working batteries are very important. Batteries should be checked once a month and replaced when signals they give are weak or casn barely be heard.

These tips below should prevent fatalities in case you are caught in a fire.

If a smoke detector goes off, before you open the door, feel the door, if it is hot, do not open the door as the fire may be right outside. Try to leave by a window. Sit on the window ledge and signal to let firefighters or others know where you are so they can save you. If possible, stuff clothes underneath the doors to stop smoke from coming into the room where you are.

If the door is cool, bend down low and very slowly and cautiously open the door and crawl to the designated exit or to help get out smaller children or elderly relatives. Once in a group, everyone crawl out and meet at the designated place.

Never take the elevator in the event of a fire, take the stairs and again stay low if you are able to take the stairway out.

Families should have fire drills at least once a month to prepare for what to do in the event of a fire. Older children or adults should be in charge of getting the smaller children out of the house in the event of a fire and smaller children can be taught what to do also in the event of a fire such as calling for an older child or adult and to NEVER hide in a closet or under the bed.

Everyone should be taught to get out as fast as possible and do not stop to call 911 Get out first and call 911 from a neighbor's house of from a cell phone.

Once out, everyone should meet at a place designated as the meet up place during your fire drills.

Contact your local fire department for more safety tips and remember to have a fire drill and advise your neighbors and friends to have fire drills as well. The lives you save may be your own.

Osama Bin Laden is dead

Terrorism may not be over but this sick monster is dead. Good riddance, do not come back as a ghost or a rat, as some have suggested, jokingly.

Our President, Barack Obama is proving to be one of the greatest presidents ever. The economony is on the mend, unemployment is down and Bin Laden or binnylala as I named him totally by accident as I planned an attack on him to get that $50 million and to get a monster off the earth and send him back down to the bowels of hell where he came from.

Seriously, I could not go to Pakistan or Afghanistan to hunt down this sicko but it adding my 2- cents as to his whereabouts stopped some of the feelings of helplessness one feels when the victim of a crime by criminals who strike in the middle of the night and whe least expected.

News articles say some advisors suggested Obama wait to launch the attack but as the Commander-in-Chief, Obama ordered the attack be carried outright now and it proved to be the right orders.

Now, turn our attentions back to the human traffickers destroying our country from winthin. their day is coming too, soon.

March 2011

My blog has become a series of advertisements. March is Women's History Month so a pair of "fly" shoes to start the blog off with is not a bad idea.

A career girl needs shoes, lots of shoes and needs the basics.

The basics of shoes are black pumps, high heel and low heel, and one pair each of, white, tan, cream, red and navy blue.

Trendy footwear is OK as long as you have the basics above, so a pair in a bright orange, yellow, lime green, watermelon, watermelon? can make a classic outfit "rock."

Shoes, bring to mind the binding of women's feet, the old slogan, "keep them barefoot in the winter and pregnant in the summer."

Women still make less than men and the right to choose is still a hotly contested topic in ALL circles.

Women are catching up to men in having heart attacks, cancer and other maladies, if so, men and women need to work on having fewer heart attacks, cancer and others, even up the pay scale and buy more shoes...

OMG

OMG - signed into my blog and did not recognize it. It is all advertisements and more advertisements as I have been busy tweeting, signing petitions, any petition, send me an email and I will sign a petition, call a Senator, call a Congressman, write a letter to a Congressman or leave a message for POTUS Obama.

As I type this, it is 3 days after Snow-ton 2011 and though snow is piled in mounds everywhere, most of the streets are passable, with trails dug out by residents and streets plowed by the city's snowplows and snowgate was avoided because there was none unlike petition gate.

Several of this year's mayoral contenders could not even collect signatures on petitions to get on the ballot without it ending in calls for federal investigations. Unbelievable. These candidates were so removed from their campaigns that they did not even bother to supervise the simple task of collecting enough signatures to get their names on the ballot.

If your name is not on the ballot, you can not run. Then the posturing at the Board of Election Commissioners of whose name is first or last on the ballot. Candidates whose name is not first have been known to stand outside the office to get their name on the ballot until thevery last minute so their name will be last. If two candidates show up, they play a waiting game, to see who can stand outside the longest to try and get that last spot. My suggestion was to not vote for either of those. That solved that.

There is little doubt that that this is how they would run the city as well, a city on the verge of bankruptcy, residents fleeing at the rate of 22,000 per year, and crime rates, faked as lower than previous years to protect more incompetents.

This post is not a rant, it is a guess at how to choose which candidate to entrust the next four years of my safety, life, health, livelihood and economic security to.

Other than the incompetents listed above, there are several seemingly qualified candidates. The problem is which one to choose so as not to end up with the "space cadet" Alderperson we had for the last four years. Yikes.

Choosing a candidate for Mayor was easy, the next choice, Alderperson, is going to be very difficult and that is why I have not voted early yet. Somebody give me a sign.

There is one option, to send emails to the last standing candidates and wait to see who answers who has a plausible plan for the child sex traffickers and human traffickers taking over Lawndale, Garfield, Little Village and Pilsen.

When I started this blog, I tried to write about politics and made myself dizzy. With the corruption in Chicago and Illinois, you need a scorecard to keep up.

In the next few days, I may try to summarize what has happened in the last year, just to theorize what and why this corruption exists.

Right now, time to get emails and letters ready and find the schedule for the remaining forums for candidates for Alderperson in the 24th Ward.
